Oscar hadn't thought of it. How there would be a part that relished a gentle corruption, taking Oscar down a kinder, golden path. Where a God would give him attention, lay with him when he was hurt.

Moreover, gave him what he wanted, needed for years: affection and touch. None of these touches were known to him before, and he felt wonder, tenderness at the gentle heat and want coming from all of it.

"I definitely think you'll make me blissful. And I think you'll enjoy that."

He kisses him once more before laying his head against Oscar's shoulder.

"We never have to do any of this any time. You know that, right? All those things you mentioned: they all make me very happy. Being with you makes me happy. Cooking with you. Being a cat on your shoulder. Simply being in the room with you. You make me happy by existing and being there. This is just one thing we can do together."

He turns to kiss him again.

"And I'm honored you let me show it to you. Because I do like doing this with you."

And those molten golden eyes will flicker with a glow for a moment before he lowers them a little and there's a dark, syrupy texture to his voice as he continues in a murmur against Oscar's lips.

"I also think I'll like your focus very much."

He shivered at that dark, smooth voice going into his ears, the vibration of words against his lips.

His hand moved up to stroke John on the cheek. "It feels right, with you." He murmured back, kissing him. He let it linger for a few moments before pulling back just...a little. Murmuring against John's lips. "I'd love to just focus all my attention, all on you."

He could be...a little intense, with his focus.

Oscar will get to see it, feel it, the way that focus itself, and Oscar's mention of it, the way those words breathed right into him past his lips, effect him. How the sigils on his skin light up bright, like lines of gold. How something in him seems to turn on; there's no questioning that Oscar did that. That this isn't just John encouraging him: something at his core, something deep inside and intrinsic to him, bloomed from that attention.

John feels himself lean down, lean against Oscar, and he kisses him firmly on the lips, drinking in the taste of that focus, of that devotion. That is... rapturous. Perfect. Beautiful. And he wants Oscar to know how much he enjoys it, how much he appreciates it. He breathes in deep and breathes out slow and presses a few more kisses along his jaw.

It was like seeing the light of dawn, wondrous and beautiful, light John up. It's flattering, but mostly Oscar is pleased that John has taken those words to heart.

That he knows his devotion and affection are sincere. Not that he has quite realized that this could be considered worship.

He'll feel it as it happens, how the back under his hands becomes shorter, smoother, and more narrow. How the lips kissing him become a little more full, and there's a weight now pressing between their chests as John kisses him, the golden hair turning dark though still shot through with strands of gold and shortening up into wavy curls.

The voice, when John speaks, is softer, brighter, but still very much John's. And there's no mistaking the golden eyes. The changes are obvious, very obvious, but at the same time, there is something that is so clearly John regardless. Something to the body on top of him, the form, that's still, unquestionably, the same person.

Oh. It was smooth, like a ripple over water. Or like...a blanket lifting and settling into another shape. Though Oscar felt a moment of uncertainty when he felt the difference under his hand.
