Oh, he certainly is. [Kind of a dick too, but that's part of what makes him fun.]
And that's all good and fair, just know that he might attempt to kill you if you help too much. I mean, when he first got back I accidentally ran into him, literally, in the hall way and he tried to strangle me.
I think I can get away with giving him a bit of a shock, magically, and that interrupted his self defense shit, but I cant say that itd work every time. Hes kinda fragile right now anyways, as much as he is built like a brick shit house.
[Oscar is very fond of Arthur, so...he does like dicks and assholes, so.]
...so this is part of his um...past trauma?
[He doesn't say programming because if Hanna doesn't know, it's not his place to inform him.]
If he's built like a brick house, all the more that he needs support. Support isn't always help...and if he needs a place to vent his frustration, even if it isn't speaking it out loud, I want to try to be there for him.
I don't want him to feel he needs to attack anyone.
[Especially if that means Oscar has to give him a smackdown.]
You could call it that. Though generally he doesn't seem to want to do it at all, just saying. 'Feels the need' in this circumstance has nothing to do with what David actually wants.
[Hanna read what Saga wrote, this is free information as far as hes concerned. But as temp Wardens go, he isnt sure that's the kind of approach he should be trying.]
Yeah, I dunno about venting. Maybe just hang out instead? If he wants to. He likes music if you want to share your taste with him. Just...maybe not gospel hymns. Though he might surprise the both of us and get really into Christian Rock.
[He's for sure not with the hip and cool slang, at all. But he'll try his best!
And here is one armed priest, ready for a joke. But he offers a crooked little smile instead.]
Thank you Hanna.
[He steps in, and glances around. The apartments here- the cabins- they're so...particular to the times. He's still getting used to it, before he glances back over.]
[He's pretty sure Cola is still a thing in the 'olden days', right?]
And uh...I did pick up a record player in the last port, but I usually just use the computer, here...it's way easier.
[Hanna grabs his shitty old laptop, putting it on the tiny kitchen island with it's little speakers hooked up, scrolling a bit before he decides christian rock can be introduced by a fringe band, queuing up Hold me now by Creed.]
[It totally is, and some of the flavors originate from Ye Old Days!]
But...what's a computer? Is that...?
[He stops, and stares at it. Shitty laptop or not, Oscar is absolutely baffled at the look of it and the fact that it plays music...despite the warning before, he still starts a little.]
[Having started walking away to the fridge, he tries to not laugh when he asks about the needle with one hand on the fridge handle.]
Its got all the songs I want just stuffed in there. Got that data and numbers flowing through a series of tubes. very complicated stuff.
[Because bullshitting someone who doesnt actually know is kind of hard to resist. He'll grab two RC's from the fridge, setting one in front of Oscar and popping his own tab in case he was unfamiliar. ]
[Wtf is data? In computers??? Oscar carefully takes the can, and pops the top open. It's more a matter of using his non dominant hand for something he's used to doing with his left hand.]
Oh yeah, dude. Practically microscopic. Very cool technology though. They used to be the size of a whole room.
[At least that part isn't a lie. Early computers were wild.]
I don't have a lot of music that is like...pre-sixties or I'd try and play something you'd be more familiar with, but there's plenty of options. Here- I'll show you how to scroll through.
[And he'll give Oscar a little run down on how to scroll through his windows media library.] You can sort by genre and shit if you're having trouble picking something you think you might like, but I also have a few on there I know David likes. Pretty sure it isn't Christian Rock though.

Re: Voice - pairing day
I'd be happy to go for a drink by the pool or wherever he'd like but uh...
What's...Christian Rock?
[He has no idea what it's supposed to be, he predates rock music.]
Re: Voice - pairing day
You want to come over and I'll show you? Sometimes it sneaks up on you, but I have a few downloaded.
Re: Voice - pairing day
[These words. What are THESE WORDS.]
Where is your cabin?
Re: Voice - pairing day
I'll leave the door open? We can have a jam session.
Re: Voice - pairing day
[What's with all this slang, he's not that disconnected to the youths...right?
Well, he manages to go to the elevator, and comes down to Hanna's door, where he knocks firmly. And Hanna gets to meet a one armed priest!
...it sounds like a start of a joke, but it's just the way he is.]
Re: Voice - pairing day
Hanna does open the door though, blinking up at Oscar, not sure what he'd been expecting but well, not exactly what he see's.]
Hey, come on in!

Where do you keep your record player?

The, er, needle...?

Those must be very small tubes.

Re: Voice - pairing day
[Records are better!
But he leans in to learn how to scroll and filter, even if it felt really...weird. But he glances over to Hanna, and offered a small headshake.]
We don't have to listen to Christian...rock, as you call it.
What does David like? I'd like to know that more.
